It’s almost here! After months of anticipation, the 2017 Worcester LGBTQ Film Festival will soon premiere with our Opening Night film, “Something Like Summer” followed by 3 straight days of a jam-packed schedule of independent LGBTQ film screenings, special events, food, drink, and more. It’s a lot of stuff to keep up with, but don’t worry – we’ve got the solution:

Our “qFLIX” mobile app is your one-stop companion to everything going on at this year’s fest. And it’s free!
Let’s assume that you have a phone in your pocket. Let’s assume that you want to know what’s happening at the festival. Simply download our official 2017 Worcester LGBTQ Film Festival app? With the app, you can view the entire festival lineup of films and events, save your favorites, create a personalized festival schedule, buy All Access badges and tickets, vote for your favorite films, access venue info and tons more.
Download the “qFLIX” app now for use throughout the festival on the App Store or on Google Play.
The “qFLIX” mobile app has these great features:
View the entire jam-packed schedule that includes screenings, events, guest and much more.
Just select a particular film and see more screening details and a brief description. Click on the “Add to Sched” button and create your own itinerary. You can also save the screening times to the eCalendar of your choice.
Below each of the film descriptions you will find the link to Purchase All Access Badges and tickets.
Once you’ve click on the ticket and badge link you will automatically be taken to the Hanover Theatre ticket site. Type in the name of the film in the search button or type in the date you’d like to see a film, or simply scroll down. Once you scroll you’ll see instructions on how to purchase All Access badges and individual tickets.
Back on the “qFLIX” app you can click on the 3 horizontal lines in the upper left-hand corner, which will dropdown menus that will quickly link you to your itinerary, film screenings sorted by date, film type, events and locations. You can also see which filmmaker is planning on attending the festival and when.
One last, and certainly not the least, feature of the app is the “qFLIX Voting” button. When you click on this button, for each of the eligible films, you will be able to rate that film on a scale from 5 (Loved it!) to 1 (Hated it!). These ratings will then be used to determine the Audience Choice Awards for Favorite Feature Film, Short Film, etc.
No smartphone? Then feel free to reach out to any of the great festival volunteers or staff and we will gladly help you cast your all-important audience vote.
Just remember to turn your phone off when the film starts or we will flog you – unless you like that and then we’ll think of something else.
